«La Mesa» (The Table) is a series of artworks that illustrate one of the most important rituals in my culture: sharing a meal. Sitting around a table to celebrate an event and enjoying food and drink with family or friends is in our blood.
From the most elaborate feast to the simplest breakfast, I am illustrating those moments that I hold dear –either because they remind me of someone who is no longer here or because they carry a funny anecdote. Each illustration unveils its own story.
